my reputation was utterly tarnished, ruined, and destroyed on this fateful night. attended a church friend's wedding dinner and i can't remember what we were talking about but my mum told the people sitting around us that I LOVE STUDYING. like hello?!?! what kinda freak would they think i am now?! the people in my ushering team already think i'm a super big mugger 'cos i'm always lugging my notes along when we serve. if only they knew that train rides and waiting times are probably the only periods when i study proper (besides the exam season of course). if only they knew.. the amount of time i spend on tv and my comp. but it's ok. better mugger than bimbo. better mugger than airhead.
oh wimbledon was enjoyable, especially since it was free. kirsten dunst wasn't too bad but i'd have much preferred hugh charming grant, though he doesn't look like the tennis sort. i liked what KirstenDunst said.. Love means nothing in tennis -- zero. but really... why does love mean zero in tennis?

Realised I've only blogged 3 miserable times in Oct so far. And Sep was even worse, with only 2 entries. Wonder why I've been so dry. I think I'm fast losing the ability to write. The woes of being a Science student - even pri school kids write better.
Well, for starters, I'm really flattered by the testimonies of my storytelling skills haha. Those, plus my classmates and family, make almost 10. =) I've finally found my niche after 20 long years of existence! Haha. But no, I'm not intending to make a living out of it so don't worry. Then again, I wouldn't survive on it even if I wanted to. My classmates said that the stories sound good 'cos I exaggerate a lot. But really, for the record, I only tell them in the exact way that I feel about them. Memoirs is still my all-time fave! Tiff, once you get past the first few dull chapters the story gets nicer and nicer.
So maybe I oughta stop haunting my classmates with my singing and tell them more stories instead. Haha I've no idea what's gotten over me, but I've been irritating them with my singing these days. OK maybe not irritate, since some of them actually find it entertaining. But really, I'm not bothered. At least it pleases me and helps us all keep awake during lectures.

They then asked her if she wanted to adopt a boy or a girl to which she remarked "I'm not buying groceries you know, it's not just about picking a pretty one! I would rather adopt one that nobody wants, because you can change his or her life."
Wow wow wow.
Just something that impressed and warmed my heart.
It's late and I'm not on msn so I couldn't share this anywhere else..

oooh.. i had great fun today. a few hours of my time got me a free meal at swensens and fondue and strawberry cheesecake iscream at haagen dazs! =) but then again. time is money. what more when you're talking about time i could have spent inching closer towards my new formulation for a via.gra parallel. (oh no i'm becoming crappy like wek the rogue lawyer and her famous friend) being a witness isn't all that easy, especially if some bad luck leaves you to be cross-examined by an intimidating lawyer. my personal experience wasn't too bad. but it's actually quite interesting to sit through a trial (not when you're the defendant of course). i'd actually consider sitting in when my friends litigate in future.. if i become a tai-tai with little else to do, that is.
but i must say that i'm really proud of my old time buddies. it's amazing watching them develop into fine young professionals. i mean really. who'd have expected a table-flipping lil' gangster to become a lawyer. (haha sorry for the dig) but of course the best thing is that i can have free legal advice in future..
so i've slacked quite a lot of my time away. watched 3 movies last week - white chicks, bishonen and yesterday once more. will prob watch 2-3 more this week... someone help me start mugging! yeah anyway white chicks was really funny, in a stupid way. bishonen was quite good.. but i guess it ain't that healthy exposing myself to more and more g%a*y material. YOM was kinda sucky. my parents passed it off as slapstick. but my classmates actually found the storyline touching when i told them all about it. (maybe i actually have some form of talent in informal storytelling - i remember thoroughly enjoying myself when i told the story of memoirs of a geisha from start to finish in sec3 or 4) so, coming back to the point, YOM actually ain't that bad if you forget about the slapstick parts and concentrate on the main themes and the many subtle expressions of l-o-v-e.
till next time, zoi ghin. (argh.. canto is almost impossible to spell.)

Had a strong compulsion to blog on Sunday but blogger actually died on me. Now that blogger's working properly for me, I don't have much to say.
Well I'm definitely breathing more comfortably and starting to slack a little now that I'm finally done with my major project. Been taking long afternoon naps and I watched Dodgeball yesterday and 13 Going On 30 AGAIN today. Another project due this coming Friday though, so there goes my first free Wed of the semester. Slogging, slogging and more slogging. I wanna go chang K with WEK! Haha. Totally looking forward to listening to Towkay Wong sing.
