one of my fishes has died. sad, but expected. it looked sick over the past week or so anyway. should have taken a photo of its lifeless body in my hand, but i forgot.
funny how the fittest and liveliest of the 4 had to die first. life's unpredictable.

I have on my face now my new facial product. . . Neutrogena Face Mask! HAHA. I wonder how it's suppose to help me, since it's called Fine Fairness Mask and the box reads 'Visibly improves skin fairness and clarity after using 4 masks'. Like I'm not fair (ie white) enough. But still. I bought it to support Xuanxuan who endorses the brand.
So I slept at 4.45am yesterday 'cos I was surfing the net. (Rather embarrassed by the sites I visited so I shan't mention them. But they were all clean. Don't let your imagination run wild.) Thing is, I slept on the sofa for fun. And no, it wasn't uncomfortable at all. Think my parents got a shock of their lives and thought I was mad. Nothing new. But I slept well. No sweet memorable or exciting dreams whatsoever though. Too bad I don't have a bathtub at home or I'll try sleeping there next. Haha.
And I watched TROY again! Pastor thinks it's a stupid show but I think it's superb. No doubt they worshipped silly idols and killed thousands. But there was brotherhood, honour, glory and love. Oh what's happening to me. All that stuff about brotherhood, honour and glory these days.
Boring boring boring. There wasn't anything I wanted to say actually..... 'cept that I had a fantabulous dinner at SAKAEsushi. =))

it's a wonder my body ain't aching after yesterday's cycling. it definitely was a first for me - cycling the entire stretch of ECP and then to changi airport and back. ok maybe i shouldn't include the airport since we turned back halfway 'cos the girls (mainly myself) refused to risk our lives by cycling on the HIGHWAY, for goodness' sake! riding and hiking through the bumpy grass patches at the side of the road was enough to kill me.
so now my classmates think i'm all prissy and tofu. which really isn't fair. 'cos. they have yet to meet the likes of miss PS or miss szePUI..
ok off to church and to catch TROY. i'll tell you how good it is, nov. kidding. PLEASE study hard.

Expect The Unexpected.
Words fail in this senseless world.

my left fingertips are numb now from trying to perfect my A and E chords on the guitar, ouch. and yes.. i've picked up the guitar again! after 5-6? long years. PS do you remember the one time when i actually plucked home on the range? haha... wait up... i hope to be able to strum a proper song soon. gotta go get a pick soon, or my right thumb's gonna be numb too.
what else? well.. been a couch potato as usual, which explains the 1kg that i've put on. again. yesterday i watched this new short tvb series called love paradise comprising music love stories. the one starring kelly chen and joe ma wasn't too bad..
it begins with kelly, a famous romantic novelist, who announces, much to the astonishment and disappointment of all her fans and manager, her plans to retire 'cos she no longer has any inspiration now that her bf, sam, has passed away. (she soughts inspiration from her personal love story)
at a bar, kelly overhears a guy (joe, who looks identical to sam) asking for salt to go with his brandy and this reminds her of sam who used to do that. [fast forward] so kelly and joe get along real well and fall in love and kelly picks up the pen again to continue her love stories, this time with a different male lead. (and of course there's a bit of cheem narration to tug at your heartstrings, which i'll only understand fully with the help of my canto lou xi - ms tWong, haha)
anyway, one day, when they're out, kelly even catches joe saying the exact same phrase under the same circumstances, causing her to ponder about the possibility of reincarnation.
[fast forward]one morning, kelly finds a note on her door from joe. it reads something like 'i'm sorry i can't spend eternity with you'. and so joe disappears from her life without a word.
then, at the launch of her latest book, kelly's bombarded with questions from the reporters.
reporter: so why did the male lead (joe) leave you?
kelly: i have no idea, but i wish i knew.
R: you said in your novel that you'd forgive him if he came back, no matter what his reason may be. is that true?
..and then joe appears at the back of the conference room... and puts up a struggle with the security.. kelly calms the situation, before replying..
K: yes. but i really would like to know the reason...
then joe starts explaining about how he was actually hired by kelly's manager 'cos he looks very much like sam and his task was to make kelly fall for him, hence giving her inspiration to continue writing. but he left when he really started falling for kelly and knew that she'd never forgive him 'cos she hates liars.
[fast forward]and so the story has a happy ending when kelly forgives him and they end up together.
HAHA. am i a spoiler or am i a spoiler? thought the story was pretty good up till the point when joe left suddenly (plus there were kellychen's songs). the ending wasn't that great though - too 'notting hill'.

oooh. just realised that blogger has a new look - just shows how long i haven't been blogging. i've been lazy.. and life hasn't been exactly that interesting. or maybe 'cos my thoughts were in such a mess i didn't know what to say. but it's finally all over. i feel liberated now. not quite sure if it's a good thing though - the state of indifference.
so i went to the gym today again and i've found a few machines that i like. it sure is good to actually enjoy using some of them. that way i can actually enjoy myself while exercising. dad says there's no point in working out, only to put all the calories back on with my pigging out. but i just can't help it!! meant to skip lunch after my fulfilling workout but ended up gorging on fattening food from MOS.
there's a season for all things. and this feels like the season for me to get in touch with more cultured stuff like Romance Of The Three Kingdoms? Or watching classics like Gone With The Wind and Ben-Hur? Movies shouldn't be a problem (I still remember the season when I watched -all- the Bond movies haha); can't be sure about SanGuoYanYi (the english version of course) though. The books are like how thick. They look even more daunting than any Physio TB.
then again, i'm the san fen zhong re du sort (or so most people claim), so we'll see how it goes. i don't really wanna become even more boring than WEK claims i've become.. haha.

Haven't felt this way in a loong looong time. Nothing's a certainty anymore. Don't even dare surf the net for fear of lurking viruses. (but here I am blogging away anyway. ha..) Finally done with watching Lady Fan. Pretty good and entertaining show. There were moments when I actually relished living within the period drama itself, stupid as it may sound. Wuxia shows can be quite good actually. They speak of loyalty, honour and brotherhood - stuff we rarely give two hoots about these days.
On earth, when you fell asleep, you sometimes dreamed your heaven and those dreams helped to form it.
But there was no reason for such dreams now.
Just something from my latest read, TheFivePeopleYouMeetInHeaven.
There were so many times when I forced myself back to sleep just so as to continue dreaming those beautiful dreams. Sometimes I succeeded in chasing them and embedding them in my memory. Other times they slipped away so quickly and left me helpless.
Someday, there would be no reason for such dreams.
